About Bloopr

What it is

Bloopr is a home for physical film and television collections. It catalogues every disc you own — the format, the edition, the packaging, the condition and the shelf it lives on — and keeps a running estimate of what the collection is worth second-hand, checked month by month so you can see how that figure has moved.

What you can do with it

  • Photograph a shelf and let the app read the titles from the picture, then add them in one pass.
  • Record the edition, packaging, region and condition of each copy, and file discs into your own collections.
  • Mark what you have watched, keep a wishlist, and see where the titles you are chasing are listed for sale.
  • Settle what to watch next with the Randomiser, and test yourself with a quiz written from your own shelf.
  • Compare shelves with friends, and write reviews and discussions in the community section.

Who it is for

Collectors, mostly. If you buy 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD or older formats on purpose, care which edition and which packaging you ended up with, and would rather know what your shelf is worth than guess at it, this is the tool for it. It works as well for a first-time buyer with a dozen discs as for someone with thousands of titles across several rooms.

What it costs

Cataloguing your collection, scanning photographs, the wishlist and the community section are free. The Bloopr Founding Supporter opens the rest. One payment. Unlimited access. No monthly subscription. The price is £29 once.
